My name is Coralie, I was a teacher in Dordogne for a long time, then in 2020, I decided to leave everything to change my life!
Passionate about discovery, DIY, decoration and human contact, it is therefore quite natural that I chose to launch myself in the tourist rental business in this beautiful department.
I found a building full of potential in Montignac, next to the Lascaux Caves, to make 6 luxury apartments.
My numerous experiences as a traveler have allowed me to know what kind of host I wanted to be, and to understand that I wanted above all to offer an EXPERIENCE to my travelers, that they should feel at home in my accommodations, that they should benefit from personalized advice adapted to their desires, and to be attentive to their needs while remaining discreet. It was in 2021 that L'Escapade à Lascaux was born, today an Airbnb Superhost, recommended by the Petit Futé Périgord and awarded by Booking.

My mission, beyond welcoming you, offering you quality places and allowing you to feel at home is to do more than the traditional hosts.
En effet, je suis là pour vous aider à transformer un simple séjour en vacances magiques à sein de ma si belle région.
I work in close partnership with the Comité Départemental du Tourisme de la Dordogne (Dordogne Perigord Tourisme), with the tourist offices of the Vézère valley as well as of the Dordogne valley and I know most of the actors of the tourist sites of the Périgord.
That's why I can help you organize your stay and your visits, whether it's for a weekend or for several weeks.

I will advise you on the best activities by guiding you, according to your tastes, towards what is done FOR YOU.

L’histoire du lieu

Dès le Xème siècle Montignac était une seigneurie indépendante, devenue de plus en plus puissante grâce notamment au commerce fluvial. Le château a appartenu un temps à Henri IV et j’aime à penser qu’il empruntait notre ruelle (autrefois publique) pour y accéder. Pendant les guerres de religion, les archives du comté de la ville de Sarlat y étaient entreposées afin d’éviter leur destruction. Il a été démantelé pendant la révolution et a servi de carrière pour construire une bonne partie des habitations du village, dont certaines parties de l’immeuble dans lequel vous séjournerez.

The works

After having fallen in love with this building, its location and the many possibilities it offered, it was time to get to work! It took the two of us 1 year and 7 months (except for the 3 months of COVID) to achieve the desired result. Masonry, framework, insulation, plasterboard, electricity, plumbing, floors, bathroom, kitchen, decoration and I certainly pass, everything was redone by our care. The renovation was long but it was worth it!
I can tell you that you will be well received in Montignac because I was too, in spite of the work which could sometimes be cumbersome, noisy and more than dirty.
